Taking a break from our weekly club – Reflection (of which will continue to run outwith these dates), Platinum Fridays will feature the last Friday of every month at George Streets Premier Nightspot – Shanghai Club. With full club decor, platinum coloured surroundings Platinum Friday’s aims to focus on offering a Friday Night different to all the rest.

With Red Carpet Arrival, bottles of champagne popping and Edinburgh’s most glamorous crowd, we are hoping to add that touch of class back to the Capital’s finest street.

Aside from whats offer on a usual Friday here in the capital, we are delighted to announce that our new monthly club will be hosted by our newest addition to our Resident line up – Michael Andre.

As well as being a DJ, Michael currently co-stars on his brother Peter Andre’s TV show- “Next Chapter” on ITV 2, currently in its’ seventh season. Michael is also tour DJ and warm up DJ on the Peter Andre ‘Revelation Tour’ – playing to 70,000 people in 6 weeks, and is currently the DJ on Peter Andre’s National Arena tour –XLR8. Playing his uplifting, funky house, and big room floor fillers, Mike promises not only to pack out Shanghai’s ever popular dance floor but also to bring a little bit of class to Friday Nights here in the Capital.

Platinum Friday’s will launch Friday 30th March and will run on the last Friday of the month thereafter.

Following the announcement that your Favourite Floorplay Residents will be making waves on the River Thames, Floorplay Events have decided to bring a touch of Ibiza to the shores of Edinburgh! Expect a boat party experience like no other as we team up with our friends at Pukka UP to bring the ORIGINAL SUNSET BOAT PARTY to the capital!

Full details of whats in store will be released in the coming weeks however, aswell as rocking the Waves on the River Forth, expect a Pre  and After Party Boat Party  experience to make the Floorplay Boat Parties, an event worth attending!!

As always, we have been working in the background to secure a venue which will ensure that the night does not take a step back but instead grows and maintains it’s reputation as one of Edinburghs premier club nights.

With all that taken into account, we are delighted to announce that as of June Floorplay will take up residence at the newly refurbished Liquid Rooms!!

The move will see Floorplay take on a whole new approach one of which, will be sure to excite many of our loyal clubbers who have supported the brand for the past 5 years!

It was therefore imperative for us to secure a venue that would see us continue what we have built over the past few years.  Many will ask what benefit and changes if any will take place as a result of the move and what I would say to that is – we promise the first date in June will be the biggest Floorplay Event we have ever organised! On Saturday 31st March, we will be teaming up with our Friends at Pukka Up as part of their 9th birthday celebrations to bring yet another huge Boat Party event!!! Catch your favourite Floorplay DJ’s as they set sale and mix up some of your finest tunes on the one of Britains finest Rivers – The Thames!

Craig & Barrie - Ibiza Boat Party

After starting life running events on the capitals rivers and in the underground back rooms of London all those years ago Britains super promoter Pukka Up gets set to celebrate it’s 9th Birthday with an event that will be envied by many!!

To kick things off and as a taste of things to come they have secured the services of the worlds best Live Performance Element, KRYOMAN. Currently residing in the USA and a permanent fixture on David Guetta’s World Tour this show will literally blow you away, this has to be a UK exclusive!

In true Pukka Up style the evenings celebrations start off with a flotilla of their cult boat parties on the Thames, as always docking right at the back of the O2 Dome!!

The nights celebrations carry on at the capitals biggest music venue Proud2 at The 02!! Fully decked out in their bespoke club décor from Space Ibiza, Mainstage LED screens and CO2 cannons to frame an enviable line up of some of Europe’s finest House DJ’s.

At the end of 2011 we promised that come February your Premier Tuesday night would be bigger and better than ever before and we believe that these very special guests will get tongues wagging throughout the capital!!

We are delighted to announce after 50 likes on our Facebook that Kirk Norcross will be joining us on Tuesday the 14th February!!

Not only this….but following his huge success in the Big Brother house, Floorplay Events are delighted to announce that Xfactor Finalist Frankie Cocozza will be making his Scottish debut at Edinburgh’s Premier Tuesday Night!!!

That’s right, Frankie will be joining us on Tuesday 6th March for yet another unbelievable Tuesday Night @ Shanghai!

We are first off, delighted to announce the appointment of our new Company Director – Craig Wilson. The appointment also involves and ownership stake within the company.

New Director - Craig Wilson

Craig brings a wealth of club and musical experience to the company and shares the same vision as everyone else within the team. Craig will work alsongside Barrie Wilkins (MD) to move the company forward. Craig will also take on a new Residency both with Floorplay and Enigma Tuesdays.

“I am very pleased and excited that Craig has joined us here at Floorplay Events. I think the appointment and stake Craig has taken within the company will contribute a great deal towards achieving sucess this year. Craig and I discussed this idea when were out in Ibiza in the summer last year so to finally make it happen is a great. We share the same views and have a very strong friendship which can only be good for the company”.

The move will see Craig leave his current Residency /Ownership share of Libido Wednesdays and join Floorplay Events on Thursday 19th January.

Liam Goldie and Darren Connell will take full charge of our DJ managment whilst Amir Fard (Senior Events Manager) and Steven Ferguson (PR Manager) continue with their current roles within the company.
